FULL DESCRIPTION OF LISTING
Bliss Yoga Center was founded by Debi Medeski in June 2001. She created the center after moving to Woodstock from NYC where she taught Yoga for many years before completing the Jivamukti Yoga Center’s one-year, 2000-hour teacher training in 1998-1999. Debi is very grateful to all her teachers including Shri Dharma Mittra, Sharon Gannon and David Life, Shri Amritanandamayi Ma (Ammachi), her Shamanic guides and one of her greatest teacher yet, her daughter, Tulsi. BYC is a spiritual and stimulating Yoga hub in the Hudson Valley.
The Bliss studio is designed with natural aesthetics and reverence to the fundamentals & beauty of Yoga. We are an eco-friendly center, working towards sustainability though the use of recycled products as well as raising earth awareness as part of the Yoga practices. The Bliss Yoga Center provides a fun, safe, non-competitive space to explore one’s greatest potential with our transformative teachers among a core group of dedicated students. All of our instructors are certified Yoga teachers either through Bliss Yoga or another reputable school and have all been teaching for a minimum of 2 years. All teachers are trained in Yoga asana, meditation and pranayama and have a clear understanding of how to work with special needs including pre-natal and Yoga therapy. We believe in the healing and life-changing powers of Yoga and do our best to transmit these ancient teachings in a fun and inspiring way.
