Namaste Yoga Enthusiasts and Teachers!
It's been a long time coming, but here we are. I am filled, to the point of exploding, with the deepest gratitude for those of you who are advancing your knowledge of the vinyasa practice.

My desire to teach yoga has been in my blood for as long as I can remember. Even when I didn't know about yoga or understand it; I still knew that somehow I needed to connect with people on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. I have a diverse background in Therapeutic Massage Therapy (12 years), Ayurvedic Nutrition (5 years) and am considered a senior yoga teacher (not in age, but in experience (E-RYT200 and RYT500) - thank goodness!). My husband and I own Divine Health Studio in St. Albert. Alberta, Canada where we have an amazing group of health practitioners, yoga teachers and massage therapists that support us every day. Where the heck is St. Albert, you may ask... well it's just North of Edmonton, the capital city of Alberta. This small town (60,000 people) is a wonderful place for community, friends and a great place to teach fabulous yoga workshops!

Join me, as we explore the creative energy of vinyasa flow through intelligent "out of the box" sequencing, refining our cuing and dialogue, finding how to connect deeper with students, learning a variety of themes, understanding advanced alignment, polishing up your transitions, pranayama (advanced breath work) and most importantly lighting up your classes with personality, humor and a sense of being fully intoxicated by your love of yoga and people.

I have been teaching yoga for 8 years and counting. My background in Therapeutic Massage Therapy (graduated in 2002) gave me the insight into understanding movement and breath and that we need more of it in our lives to stay healthy. The first few years I taught simple flows in the style of Hatha Vinyasa, mostly for those who were beginning their yoga journey and for students with injuries. However, after spending sometime learning Ashtanga, I soon decided I really liked to flow. However, the issue I was having with some of the "pure" forms of yoga, was that there was not a lot of room for expression and personal interpretation. The pose had to be done one way and that was it. Mmmm... that concept didn't sit well with me, as I enjoyed finding ways to modify the poses, so that my students could do them as well as advanced practitioners. I decided to branch out, follow no one and develop a style unique to myself. Creative flow was born. Just to be clear, this style is not "mine." Creativity shows itself in many ways. I don't feel that in order for my vinyasa class to flow with creativity that it has to be "hard" or "difficult." My style is more organic; being sequenced by observing students and how they are moving in that moment. I've been told it's a gift. It just feels natural and connected - and that's why I feel it's been well received in Canada, USA, Indonesia and Mexico. To put it bluntly, I don't like prepackaged food and I really don't like prepackaged yoga. My teaching is real, authentic and teachable. I will teach you the tools to give a dynamic vinyasa class, but then you need to make it your own. We don't want same same. When you take this advanced teacher training weekend with me, you will feel LIT up. It's contagious. You may even feel intoxicated, being filled with so much energy and passion, that you just can't help but smile. or (our yoga and wellness center)
