Located on Sherbrooke Street, in the heart of N.D.G., Montreal, YOGA On The Park is a bright spacious yoga studio overlooking Girouard Park. We offer a full schedule of group and private hatha yoga classes (Kripalu, Anusara,Iyengar) for all levels, specialty classes, workshops, country retreats, and a regular Sunday morning community meditation practice, from which we hope to contribute to a third world development project. We also have a small shop with many products to support your practice.

Barrie Risman, a certified Anusara Yoga instructor, celebrating over 14 years of yoga practice. Since 2001, she has worked closely with John Friend, the founder of Anusara Yoga, studying under his guidance and assisting him in workshops and trainings. Barrie offers yoga instruction with a generous heart, sharing her knowledge fully and creatively in order to inspire, awaken and delight her students in the experience of yoga. Her classes contain clear instruction, compassionate challenges and frequent laughter

Joanne Ransom and Joanne Gormley
Joanne Ransom (M. Ed.) is a '500 hour' professional level Kripalu yoga teacher. She is also a counselor/psychotherapist and massage therapist. Joanne Gormley is a 500 hr. professional level Kripalu Yoga teacher and a certified yoga therapist, counselor and massage therapist in private practice. The Joannes bring a combined 27 years of experience teaching yoga and meditation and leading groups. They share an enthusiasm for conscious living and a devotion to bringing the practices of yoga and meditation into daily life. Their teaching has been enriched through ongoing study with senior teachers in a variety of traditions, including Erich Schiffman, John Friend, Beryl Bender Berch, D.V.K. Desikachar, Shiva Rae, Jack Kornfield, Cindy Lee, Stephen Cope, Angela Farmer, Richard Freeman and Francois Raoult.

Lynn Sala
Lynn Sala is a yoga teacher who has been certified at Kripalu School of Yoga and Peggy Cappy’s “Yoga for the Rest of Us”. She has learned to use a wide variety of props and adaptations that make classic yoga postures available to everybody. She encourages her students to be aware of and respect their personal limitations and capabilities, guiding them to trust their own responses to various postures. Lynn currently is teaching Chair Yoga to two groups of seniors. She has been practicing meditation and yoga for 15 years. She has done workshops with teachers such as: Marion Woodman, Stephen Cope, Kofi Busia, Pema Chodron and Lama Surya Das. She is also a certified massage therapist with training in Swedish and Shiatsu massage
Mona Keddy
Mona Keddy
Mona Keddy, a registered yoga teacher at the 500 hour level, brings over 10 years of practice into her teaching. Her teaching draws extensively on the Iyengar tradition, although she has studied with other teachers including Erich Schiffmann, JJ Gormley, Rodney Yee and Donna Farhi. Mona uses this background in her classes to safely challenge students, to gently encourage alignment and to create ease in the asana practice, while building an atmosphere of warmth, laughter and encouragement
