FULL DESCRIPTION OF LISTING
The Spirit of Life lies just 15 minutes walk from the fishing village of Agios Nikolaos on the Mani Peninsula and is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Taygetos Mountains form a magnificent backdrop that fall down towards the blue Mediterranean. About a mile away is the larger village of Stoupa with its four beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear water.
The whole area is steeped in mythology and history. It was recorded that a temple dedicated to Apollo and Asklepius, the Greek gods of healing, existed nearby. It was at such temples that ‘Therapeutes’ (the first therapists) used a mind, body and spirit approach to health and healing . It is this tradition of Holistic Health that is the cornerstone of our programmes.
Our aim is to give our visitors at the Spirit of Life Centre an enjoyable relaxing and healing experience. As a result our class sizes are small, allowing you to receive the attention and space that is needed for growth and personal development.
The class sessions mostly run in the morning and early evening, allowing plenty of time to relax on the beach or stroll through the foothills. We emphasize the holiday during your visit, as much as the learning, believing that they complement each other wonderfully.
